Description

The survivors of the Banoi outbreak believe they have finally escaped, but their relief is short-lived when infection reaches the nearby island of Palanai. Joined by new survivor John Morgan, the group must once again fight through hordes of infected while tropical storms and flooding make an already desperate situation even worse.

Dead Island: Riptide for PlayStation 3 continues Techland’s first-person action RPG formula with melee-focused combat, character development and extensive weapon crafting. Flooded villages, jungles and ruined settlements provide a new setting filled with familiar and newly mutated enemies. Cooperative design and customizable weapons preserve the distinctive survival-action style of the original Dead Island.

• Choose from returning survivors or new character John Morgan, each with individual strengths and skill progression. Character upgrades allow combat abilities to develop throughout the adventure.
• Create and modify improvised weapons using parts found throughout the devastated island. Blades, blunt weapons and elemental modifications turn ordinary equipment into powerful zombie-fighting tools.
• Explore flooded settlements, jungles and abandoned facilities filled with infected enemies and valuable resources. Boats provide transportation through areas transformed by severe flooding.
