Description
In a devastated future, the evil Sluggo has transformed humanity into hideous mutants and taken control of the world. Scientist Professor Kildare creates a group of restored human warriors known as the Ex-Mutants, giving them the mission of defeating Sluggo and returning hope to civilization.
Ex-Mutants for Sega Mega Drive is a side-scrolling action platformer based on the Malibu Comics series. Players primarily control the sword-wielding Ackroyd while other members of the Ex-Mutants appear during selected stages. Platforming, melee combat and unusual enemies combine with colourful comic-book visuals to create a distinctive slice of early-1990s superhero action.
- Battle through mutant-filled environments using Ackroyd’s sword and physical abilities. Enemies range from strange creatures to heavily mutated servants of Sluggo.
- Encounter other members of the Ex-Mutants team as the campaign progresses. Different characters and situations add variety to the comic-inspired adventure.
- Explore colourful stages filled with hazards, platforms and hidden items before confronting powerful bosses. The unusual post-apocalyptic setting gives Ex-Mutants a personality of its own.
