Description

The lemmings are a stream of tiny creatures that constantly walk forward unless you assign them a task, making them less like direct player-controlled characters and more like a moving group you must manage. Their main trait is that they will keep marching into danger unless you step in, so the challenge comes from guiding the crowd safely instead of controlling a single hero.

In Lemmings for the Sega Master System, each level tasks you with getting a required number of lemmings to the exit within a time limit while avoiding traps, drops, and blocked routes. To do that, you assign specific skills to individual lemmings, turning them into climbers, builders, diggers, blockers, and other roles needed to redirect the group and create a safe path through increasingly complex puzzle stages.
