Description

A devastating war between Earth and an unknown military force places Assault Suit pilot Rex and his comrades on the front line. Battles spread from planetary surfaces into space as heavily armoured machines clash over the future of humanity.

Assault Suit Leynos for Sega Mega Drive, known internationally as Target Earth, combines side-scrolling shooting with objective-based missions and large battlefield encounters. The assault suit can equip multiple weapons before deployment, allowing different loadouts for each operation. Allied units, enemy reinforcements and changing mission goals give the action a stronger sense of military scale than a typical run-and-gun shooter.

• Choose weapons before missions and switch between them during combat. Different firearms are better suited to particular enemy types and battlefield situations.
• Fight alongside allied soldiers and machines while completing objectives that go beyond simply reaching the end of a stage. Large battles create a convincing sense of ongoing war.
• Battle across planetary bases, orbital environments and other science-fiction locations. Tough enemies and limited armour make every mission a demanding 16-bit challenge.
