Description
Private Boyd Travers of the U.S. 82nd Airborne Division takes part in some of the largest airborne operations of World War II. From Sicily to the heart of Nazi Germany, every mission begins above the battlefield as Travers prepares to parachute directly into enemy-controlled territory.
Medal of Honor: Airborne for PlayStation 3 gives the traditional World War II shooter a more open structure by allowing players to influence where each mission begins. Parachute drops lead into battlefields containing multiple objectives, while weapons improve through continued use. Authentic military equipment and historical operations combine with flexible mission design for a distinctive Medal of Honor campaign.
- Begin major missions by parachuting from a C-47 aircraft and selecting a landing zone. Different entry points create new routes and tactical possibilities.
- Complete battlefield objectives in a less linear order than traditional corridor shooters. Rooftops, streets and fortified positions offer multiple approaches to enemy forces.
- Improve familiar World War II weapons through repeated use and battlefield success. Upgrades reward sticking with favourite rifles, machine guns and other equipment.
