Description
A junior deputy arrives in Hope County, Montana, to arrest Joseph Seed, the charismatic leader of the Project at Eden’s Gate. The operation collapses into a struggle against Seed’s family and their armed followers, leaving the deputy to work with a scattered resistance across an occupied rural community.
Far Cry 5 for Xbox One is an open-world first-person shooter combining story missions, outpost liberation and unpredictable encounters. Forests, farms and mountain roads connect settlements controlled by different members of the Seed family. Hunting, fishing and vehicle exploration provide quieter diversions between the campaign’s escalating confrontations.
- Guns for Hire and animal companions bring specialist support to combat. Their different abilities add options to stealthy approaches, direct assaults and difficult encounters.
- Cars, boats, aircraft and helicopters connect the county’s varied landscapes. Vehicle combat and aerial attacks expand battles beyond conventional ground-level firefights.
- The campaign supports solo play or online co-op with a second player. Open-ended objectives and optional activities give the resistance more than one route through Hope County.
