Description

Chie Takemoto is a tough and resourceful young girl growing up in Osaka while dealing with her troublesome father Tetsu and an unforgettable cast of neighbourhood personalities. Her search for happiness turns ordinary situations into humorous adventures filled with family drama and local character.

Published by Konami for the Japanese Famicom, Jarinko Chie: Bakudan Musume no Shiawase Sagashi is an adventure game based on Etsumi Haruki’s famous manga and anime. The experience focuses on story progression, conversations and interaction with characters rather than constant action. Its strong Osaka identity and faithful character presentation make it a distinctive licensed title in the Famicom library.

• Follow Chie through a story inspired by the popular Jarinko Chie manga and anime. Familiar characters and humorous situations preserve the personality of the original series.
• Explore locations and interact with people to uncover clues and advance the narrative. Observation and conversation take priority over reflex-based action.
• The Osaka setting gives the game a strong regional Japanese identity rarely seen in 8-bit adventures. Character-focused storytelling makes it especially interesting for fans of the original work.
