Description
A prehistoric warrior crosses dangerous wilderness filled with dinosaurs, flying creatures and enormous monsters. Armed with primitive weapons, he must keep advancing through hostile terrain while gaining enough strength to defeat increasingly powerful bosses.
Known internationally as Adventures of Dino Riki, Shin Jinrui: The New Type was developed and published by Hudson Soft for the Japanese Famicom. The game combines vertically scrolling shooting with platform-style jumping sections and weapon upgrades. Axes, boomerangs and other projectiles become stronger through collected power-ups, giving the straightforward action a satisfying sense of progression.
- Fight through vertically scrolling prehistoric stages packed with dinosaurs and environmental hazards. Enemy formations become faster and more aggressive as the journey continues.
- Upgrade primitive weapons by collecting power-ups dropped throughout the stages. Stronger projectile forms are essential against later bosses.
