Description
Clark Kent patrols Metropolis as Daily Planet reporter and secret superhero Superman while Lex Luthor and dangerous Kryptonian criminals threaten the city. Emergency calls appear across different districts, sending Superman to stop crimes before confronting the larger forces behind the attacks.
Developed and published by Kemco for the Japanese Famicom, Superman combines overhead city navigation with side-scrolling action and adventure elements. Superman can fly between districts and use limited super powers while gathering information and defeating criminals. Its open structure and changing perspectives make it a distinctive interpretation of the DC Comics hero.
- Explore different districts of Metropolis and respond to emergency calls as they appear. The city-map structure gives the adventure more freedom than a standard linear platformer.
- Use Superman’s powers during side-scrolling battles against criminals and super-powered enemies. Managing available abilities is important during tougher encounters.
- Face Lex Luthor and Kryptonian villains including General Zod during the larger storyline. Daily Planet reports mark progress and reinforce the comic-book atmosphere.
